Accatastamento (Cadastral Registration)

The process of registering a property in the Catasto, Italy’s land registry. Every new building or significant renovation must be reported to the Catasto to update the property’s maps, floor plans, and rendita catastale (rateable value). Accatastamento assigns the property a unique identifier (cadastral sheet, parcel, subunit) and classification. It is required for tax purposes and for the issuance of documents like the habitability certificate.
