Agente immobiliare (Real Estate Agent)

A licensed real estate broker who facilitates property sales or rentals. In Italy, agents must be registered in the Chamber of Commerce and meet professional qualifications. They typically mediate negotiations between seller and buyer, help with paperwork, and are paid a commission (provvigione) by one or both parties. By law, the agent’s commission is earned upon conclusion of a valid purchase contract (even the preliminary). Hiring a registered agente immobiliare provides assurance they carry mandatory indemnity insurance and adhere to a professional code.
