Agenzia del Territorio (Land Agency)

The former land registry authority that maintained the Catasto and land records (Conservatoria). In 2012 it was merged into the Agenzia delle Entrate . The term is still informally used to refer to offices dealing with cadastral maps, property surveys, and title registrations. Essentially, it managed the Catasto (cadastral database of properties) and the registri immobiliari (property rights registry) before integration into the Revenue Agency.
