Attico (Penthouse Apartment)

A top-floor apartment, usually in a multi-story building, often distinguished by a panoramic terrace and abundant light. An attico is typically the most prestigious unit in the building – it may have larger outdoor spaces (roof terrace) and greater privacy. In Italy, attici are highly sought after, especially in city centers, and usually command premium prices. Note that attico implies top floor with terrace, whereas a mansarda (attic room) might have sloping ceilings and smaller windows.
