Bifamiliare (Two-Family House)

A residential building designed or used for two separate households. Commonly, villa bifamiliare refers to a semi-detached house – essentially a villa split vertically into two independent units sharing one wall. Each unit typically has its own entrance and garden. This arrangement is popular for extended families or as an investment (live in one unit, rent the other). In ads, porzione di bifamiliare means one half of such a house. Cadastrally, each portion will have its own unit identifier. Bifamiliare properties offer more privacy than apartments but may involve agreements between the two owners for shared aspects like the roof or driveway.
