Geometri often draw floor plans, handle accatastamento practices, and can design small residential projects (single-family homes or simple renovations) and supervise construction sites. They are akin to surveyor-drafter professionals, falling between an engineer and an architect in scope. When you buy a house, a geometra might be engaged to do the planimetria (floor plan) updates or to check boundaries of land. In rural transactions, a geometra may confirm land parcel boundaries and areas. They also frequently assist in due diligence by performing visure (searches) and verifying building conformity.
